Dosing Phyto with Rollermats

I would like to begin dosing phyto on my system, but I also have rollermats that filter all return flow to my sump.
Should I discontinue use of the rollermat once I start adding phyto?
People who have phyto, what do you do about filter socks or rollermat fleece?

Maybe turn off the roller mats for a few hours after dosing. When I was used a roller mat it did such a great job of cleaning the water that I had to put it on a timer.

If it’s live phyto, 90% will go straight to the rocks with or without return pumps on or off. Add and the dead phyto, you absolutely need to shut it down for a few hours. With that being said, if I’m not in a rush, I will shut the return pump and skimmer off for an hour just out of pure habit.
