STILL ON FOR NOON SUNDAY (TODAY), PLEASE COME, LOT'S OF FOOD AND BEER!!!!
I'm back! Tank is still in one piece.
Slight change of plans. Yes, I stayed overnight in NJ. I gave a talk on coral propagation to the NJ Reefers Club. Long story.
The change of plans: The conditions outside are so good (ground is clear of snow, and ground is frozen, and not slippery at all that I want to move the tank directly into the house. I also still have the tank on the truck. So...we need lots of people!!!
I plan to back the truck up as close as possible to the deck. We will carry it though the partially finished room, into my living room, and place it on the stand. That way, when the room is complete it should be easy to shuffle the tank into position on the stand a few inches at a time with just a few people.
Scubadave, the stand itself is not very heavy. It is made of square tubular steel welded together and painted black.
I'll check my email in a few seconds and make sure everyone has directions.
Eliot will be there. He might be a little late, but he left ten minutes ago. I think it takes 40 min to get there from here, so about ten after he should be there.
ANybody get a final headcount? I think we had 14 guys there.
Plenty to get the tank moved. JimmyJ and Greg should have pics.
That freakin' tank is titanic!
I think being able to back the truck up to the deck was key, as well as being able to remove both sliding doors.
Plus enough people made it fairly easy
