Greg needs people to help move 460 G tank

Cliff you can go over with me if you want.

Leaving shortly, not sure how long it takes me to get there

STILL ON FOR NOON SUNDAY (TODAY), PLEASE COME, LOT'S OF FOOD AND BEER!!!!

I'm back! Tank is still in one piece. :D

Slight change of plans. Yes, I stayed overnight in NJ. I gave a talk on coral propagation to the NJ Reefers Club. Long story.

The change of plans: The conditions outside are so good (ground is clear of snow, and ground is frozen, and not slippery at all that I want to move the tank directly into the house. I also still have the tank on the truck. So...we need lots of people!!!

I plan to back the truck up as close as possible to the deck. We will carry it though the partially finished room, into my living room, and place it on the stand. That way, when the room is complete it should be easy to shuffle the tank into position on the stand a few inches at a time with just a few people.

Scubadave, the stand itself is not very heavy. It is made of square tubular steel welded together and painted black.

I'll check my email in a few seconds and make sure everyone has directions.

Are you OK on manpower? Eliot could come help if you will be short, otherwise we have stuff to do here. :)

Leaving now...if anyone has some grape caulp...I could use some

Damn, sorry guys I can't make it :(

Sorry Greg, The wife has other plans for me today.

Hope it all goes well, I really wanted to help. :( :(

Dave,

I have grape Caulerpa for you.

>Are you OK on manpower? Eliot could come help if you will be short, otherwise we have stuff to do here<

Really hard to say. Don't have a firm idea. I will have enough food and beer though!!!!

Leaving now.
See ya there.

On my way

leaving as soon as i find my work gloves

Eliot will be there. He might be a little late, but he left ten minutes ago. I think it takes 40 min to get there from here, so about ten after he should be there.

Don't drop it. ;)

Great looking tank Greg. Can't wait to see it up & running

That tank is very heavy! :D

ANybody get a final headcount? I think we had 14 guys there.
Plenty to get the tank moved. JimmyJ and Greg should have pics.
That freakin' tank is titanic!

I think being able to back the truck up to the deck was key, as well as being able to remove both sliding doors.
Plus enough people made it fairly easy

Sorry Greg I could not help out, my daughter is going back to college on Tuesday. she ask me if we can spent the day together, she been home since few day before Christmas and first time she ask me to spent time with her. boy it tuff to be a Dad

Thats a sweet tank you have there Greg. Thanks for the food, beer, and frags too. My bet is the tank will be ready before you finish off the sunroom! :)

Thanks for the food and tour Greg! I'm not sure how heavy the tank was, but you all looked pretty beat when I got there. ;)

Nate
