light requirements

i just bought a tank thats 35" tall. would a 250 mh be strong enough to reach the bottom? or would i need a 400 watts.

What are you trying to grow? That's deep most likely a 400 could keep Lps at bottom not sps or clam though.

Also good luck getting things off the bottom when they fall, tongs might help or a scuba mask

i'm planning to have acans on the bottom maybe some zoas. but sps will be in the upper part of the tank.

leds or MH would be your best bet. if you decide to go with leds make sure they have 90 degree optics

im done with LEDs. i ran the radion for a while. turned all my red acans orange. back to MH..
