Alright I'm so lost. So now the hanna says 35ppt. Just calibrated and everything. Salt is spot on. 35ppt

I just went to get the water tested at the fish store. Salt level was 1.030 from there refractormeter.

What the hell is going on.

Yes I do because it matches my refractometer that is calibrated at 35ppt.
Both of them also match an old school gravity meter.

Can you use the hanna calibration fluid to calibrate the refractometer?

You can’t, the calibration fluid for hanna is a specially formulated liquid for conductivity meter, it is not a 35 ppt saltwater standard. It does not have the optical properties of a 35 ppt calibration fluid for refractometer.
