Cardinal fish advice

Hi my two pajama cardinals hate each other- probably two males. They hang out on either sides of the tank.

The goal was to have a small “pod” that hung out together. How many more do I need to add to diffuse the aggression? One, two? More?

Unfortunately unless you have a very large and full blown reef they will pick each other off until there is 1 or 2 left. In order for them to all survive they need to have tons of hiding places to run to when they get picked on. In our reefs it's very unlikely to have enough space and hiding places to keep everyone safe

You will have better luck with having a large group of juveniles for a while

I have two. One adult and one baby. They fought for a while but have settled down. They have their spots they like to hang out and will chase each other once in a while for territory. I’m not concerned with only having two anymore. Sometimes they’ll hang together. Anyway good luck
