Like the tittle says, are there any good electronic type testing kits out there for us hobby people. I admit, I get lazy testing my water, I shouldn’t, but I do.

Alkatronic, mastertronic, trident, kh director to name a few for automated testing.

Trident, started using one and dont thing I will ever go without it. I use a Pinpoint Salinity checker too to validate the salinity of the APEX.

The alkatronic is some of the best money I have ever spent in this hobby. It’s up there with my apex in terms of game changing gear.

I like the Hanna for calcium, but interestingly enough Randy H-F does not. I understand his reasoning. Basically you need to be able to use good laboratory technique and be certain to have a very clean source of water to dilute your samples. Distilled water from the drug store is probably the safest here, as a tiny bit of calcium in the dilution water will throw your reading off.
