Brand new bucket brute. Is it supposed to leave this residue after one batch. Absolutely disgusting. Really. Any insight. Not using in big tank till someone clues me in. Didn't see it until water change on 13.5g. Smeared it so you can see it.

Alk. 6.55, Mag 1240 and Ca 350

they say avg alk 7 mag 1290 ca 399 I was surprised but all dosed to where it needs to be 5 % wc tomorrow

I think the parameters are low. May be they leave you some room to dose these parameters up to your desired level? Some European salt does that such as TM. But it is such a pain.

New salt mix after cleaning barrel per dong. No crud. It was trying to alter mix to up alk that caused crud

Didn't adjust salt mix, no goop. Weird. So can't adjust in barrel. 3rd water change going on now. Things are beginning to respond.
