need help with refugium

Yes my tall baffles are cut on the bottom. Here is a pick from the building stage that shows how I cut them. This made it a lot easier to support them while the silicone cured.

Did you use silicone for the entire project? Did you use weld-on or some other product?

Just silicone... bought a tube for my caulking gun that worked out great. Used about 3/4" of the tube! Put a bead on the glass side and base then moved the plexi into place against the beads then caulked the other side. The last baffle was tricky did most of it with my finger!

oh yeah......The pic above has no silicone in it....I was just putting everything in place dry before I took the plunge!

I'd be interested to know how it all works out. I too was going to use silicone only but was told that it'd be better to weld it together with a stronger glue (Weld-on). Of course, my sump was built to hold 55 gallons and not 20.

It looks like ceige is putting plastic baffles in a glass tank, so silicone would be the only way to go, right?

Nate, yup...silicone. Weld-on will not have any reaction with glass.
