Good morning everyone,
I was wondering if Boston (dorchester) water contains chloramines at all? I try to find the number of the utility company and call them but can't seem to find it.
Some people said that Normal RO/DI unit can handle and eliminate most of chloramines and some say it doesn't do such a good job. Some claimed that only "catalytic carbon" can remove Chloramines. Who should i believe here since i have no knowledge in the water treatment and chemical area. Please help.
Should i be worry about Chloramines or i am just over reacting about little thing ?

Thanks

I just bought a 5 stage RO/DI from The Filter Guys: (http://www.thefilterguys.biz/)
They ran a Water Quality Report for Boston (not knowing exactly where I live) and found they use chloramines as a water disinfectant, so I added a chloramine filter upgrade. Pretty good insurance for only $14 more.
