question about tigertail cuc

ok i got a tigertail cuc last week to replace my dragon goby who loves putting sand on my zoas, but he went into this nice peice of rock i have with holes in it, and he wont come out. its been a week, i can see him, but he wont leave the rock, even at night he wont come out. is this normal? i still have the goby in there to keep the sand stired

It's not unusual to not see them for days to weeks at a time. I have one and it's buried in the sand or in the rocks foraging for food. I know it'll show up sometime.

i can see it, but it just keeps sucking on the rock, i thought they liked the sand

Only cause it doesn't have a thumb to suck on.

mine was gone for a few weeks then began to come out at night. never out during the day. I have had if for 6 months or so now and it is doing a great job.
