How do you have your light(s) mounted over your tank? Let’s see a FTS photo of your lighting installations..

I had originally planned to mount to the wall behind my tank, on a custom hinge. However it is horse hair and makes me nervous. So I bolted black unistrut to the back of my stand and used that. I dont love the look of it. And with the weight of my lights it sags a little. However I am planning on mounting a floating canopy to it. Which will hide most of it, and definitely reduce light spill.

I am in the process of wrapping my stand as we speak. Then on to the canopy. When I do I will anchor some aircraft cable to the ceiling to get rid of the sag and level off the lighting. Originally had T5s, then switched to LEDs.

I have a corner tank and mounting from the ceiling wasn’t working for me the way I wanted them so ended up using a computer monitor wall mount and modified it to hold my lights.

Yup.. Also 80/20 extruded aluminum on an 80/20 aluminum wall frame, allowing me to raise and lower the light level along the track. The 80/20 lighting frame is secured to the wall frame by 80/20 hinges, that allow the entire light rack to be rotated up and out of the way for the times I need more access to the tank.. It came out pretty cool I think

I have 2 ecotech rsm rails that were cut and welded to be 10feet long and had to have 2! No one makes anything for a 10 foot tank but I am having alot of fun making things work!

That came out great. Nice job

last tank I built the steel stand and made a variable height light attachment all powder coated the same. I might do that again for the 300 in the works. The tank below is a 400. Probably would look best if surrounded by a floating canopy.
