Red Fairy Wrasse Strange Behavior

Ok, just recently (today and yesterday) i noticed my red fairy wrasse sitting on the sand bed behind some rocks and coral. I immediately thought, oh no hes going to die. Well the strange thing is as soon as i put some nori in the tank he "got up" and started eating and swimming around.

I then noticed him sitting on the sand bed again today. Is this normal behavior for a wrasse or should I be concerned.

I have often seen wrasses "sitting" around like that.

i'm not sure about the red fairy cause i don't know that much about them, but i do know a lot of wrasses like to lay around in the sandbed. i have a carpenter flasher wrasse and he sleeps in the sand bed, he makes like this little blanket out of the sand and you can just see his head it pretty cool.

I have had a few red margins and the only one that I ever saw do that started a few days before he died. However as other said, this isn't out of the ordinary for some wrasses so just keep an eye on him and make sure you feed a good diet.
