I have two brittle stars, one tiger and one green. The green one hangs out on the sand mostly while the tiger hides up high in the rocks. A couple weeks ago I notice peices of the browns legs were missing. After a few days I noticed they were almost gone! I took it out and put it in a different tank. It looks dead but is in a different spot every day.
I have had this star for about two years with no problems, no crabs that I know of ( could be hitchiker), no new additions in last 6 mo or so. Only thingI can think of would be the psitol shrimp? Fish include, yellow tang, hippo tang, true percs and a mandarin.
Any ideas?
