Seahorses in reef tank ??

I know there is a slew of reasons why you shouldn’t put seahorses in a reef tank. I’m curious if anyone ever experimented with it.
I figure with no predators, enough rock work, corals, and things for them to grab onto, they can find an area in any tank with minimal water flow to hang out in. And if you broadcast feed then they shouldn’t have much of a problem eating.
P.S. I’m not planning on it and don’t intend on doing it. Just wanted to bring up the conversation and see if anyone has tried.

I've had a dedicated seahorse tank in the past. I haven't considered putting any in my reef tank. As you correctly pointed out, the major issue may be whether they can compete for food. And that would depend on what other fish you have in the tank.

If this reef tank only had seahorses, pipefish and maybe mandarinfish I wouldn't see why it couldn't be in a reef tank as long as there wouldn't be any euphyllia, BTA's or other stinging fish I wouldn't see an issue with seahorses in a reef tank you'd just need to be selective with what corals go in said reef tank.
