Anemone kill Mushroom Leather?

My RBTA moved and parked right next to my Mushroom leather. I was able to move the mushroom but it hasn’t opened up in a week. You think it’s dead? I’m fairly new and I don’t know what exactly to look for. Kinda bummed because it was growing great before this. Thanks

How long was the rbta next to the mushroom leather? Leather corals will close their polyps and shed a layer of mucus every once and a while. When mine does this it’ll usually be closed for 1-2 weeks.

Unless the mushroom leather looks like it's actually melting down, then no it's not dead and will likely recover.

It was next to it probably 5-6 days before I had the time to get in there and move it. Thanks for your help

+1 the leathers are pretty hardy corals they will usually bounce back.
