Another hard lesson?

Why not throw everything in the 40? I have some media that's been in water for a little over a month if you would like.

That’s exactly what I’ve been doing so it’s a slow rise back upto 1.026. There must be something else going on things are looking worse today I thought it was making a turn for the better yesterday. Another panel of tests and everything comes back perfect sent out an Icp test this am see what that comes back with.
Maybe look into the Kung Fu Coral dip. I'm no expert but I brought back a few torches and other LPS that looked pretty bad

One way to raise salinity is to put salt water in your ato. That was such a small variance you had though. Mine fluctuates here and there and hasn't had a negative impact. One time my ato decided to stay on and over flow my tank! Good news is I got a bunch of Black Widow splits from the mishap

Just wanted to update Wednesday night I dipped everything that we thought had a chance and transferred them over to the 40. Yesterday I even went back and grabbed more that maybe doesn’t have a chance but I’ll keep a close eye. Had my first losses four chalices two pectinias sunset monti purple stylo my turbo snail and trochus snail.

I didn’t have lights on the 40, the nitrates were slightly high needing a water change from the end of the cycle and been busy which is why I didn’t switch things over sooner. My attention was going into the 20 to try and figure out a solution so I could finish being a perfectionist on the 40. It’s not setup how I want it to be I had a change of heart and will now be going with a sump. The canopy isn’t done, so the lights are temporarily clipped on the tank. The rim is wider so they don’t sit properly and it’s sketchy to say the least lol.

The 20 I took all corals and anemones out, still have my fish in there as they do not appear to be affected at all. I’m also not sure I want them in the 40 haven’t thought much about stocking wise. But I’ve been running carbon in the 20 since Saturday or Sunday and I added the Cuprisorb Wednesday. I figure I’ll just leave it a peaceful boring fowlr until maybe I get the Icp back and hopefully it shows something or maybe this undetectable mini cycle of coral killing ends.

On the flip side the 40 looks great lit up but almost like a walking dead graveyard. On the other flip side the 60 cube is on its stand and in place across from the 40 breeder and looks fantastic. Just need to build a quick scape get some sand and fill it up. Distractions are the best!

Anyone on here have a seahorse tank?

Thanks for all the help! Fingers crossed!

So I got the lab results in already that was quick. Nothing really jumps out at me I’ll separate the results into two posts as I had the rodi and the 20 gallon tested. This post will have the 20 gallon results and the second will be the rodi results. Lmk if anything jumps out at you thanks!

Any takers? Everything look good? Any feedback is appreciated thanks!

Did the anemone shred in the powerhead in that smaller system that was housing all the coral?

No it shredded in the 40. I put it in the 40 maybe day 2 of switching everything to the 20 from the 10 as it was moving too much.

Those test results look pretty good. How are your corals looking? Any improvements or still a steady decline? The nem shredding is adding more potential problems.
With no real "smoking gun", I would keep steady with normal maintenance, weekly WC, clean skimmer, change carbon and try to keep my hands out of tank.
We all know in this hobby good things happen slow.

I’ve lost probably over 15 corals probably a few more to come unfortunately. Some are just too far gone sort of thing but I can’t not try but otherwise things seems to opening back up.

The nem shredding was in the 40 gallon before my problems with the 20, my systems aren’t connected and the 40 gallon is where everything is now and happy so I don’t think that played a role.

Thanks for the reply and I’m going to do exactly that. Everything seems happy in the 40 and the 20 has been lights out since Thursday last week other feeding the fish and will stay that way for a bit.
