any fish researchers out there?

I was wondering if anybody knew of anyone doing formal, professional fish research. Maybe professors at a local university or something that's looking for help with their research? I was just looking to gain experience in the field of research before applying to vet school, so any help would be great.

Are you in college or high school? College professors wont work with students from other universities but are occasionally interested in motivated high school students. The New England Aquarium has an excellent research department, you could do an internship there. Also state and federal biologists are usually open to free help. Where are you located?
