Anyone put cheato in overflow of RR tank?

Had a random thought about putting some cheato in my RR section. Anybody ever do this? Pros and Cons?

And I'm thinking of doing this as I don't have room in my sump

I did it in my 180 on the closed side of my system, the cheato lived but didnt grow much.. if your light hits your better you might have better results. Maybe use an elastic to keep it near the top?

Can't see why it would hurt, as long as it isn't clogging the drain that is.

I will try it and let you know I have to trim my cheato anyway.

Con as has been mentioned is it can clog the drain, make sure you do something to keep it away from the drain so you don't have a flood.

agreed...floods suck.

Sound snot worth the risk to me.. keep it in the sump..

Maybe some LR rubble (pod farm?) is a better choice.
