Aqua Medic Turboflotor Skimmer anyone use one?

Hey Scott - I have one of the AquaMedic Turbofloater 1000 multi in use now, and I had one on my 72 bowfront. I think Sherry is still using the one on her 72.
It is way too big for my smaller (40 total gallons) tank, but that tank has the horses in it and I overfeed that tank. It hangs on the back of the sump. Works great. Never had a problem.
The one in the 72 I used as an in-sump. It handles the bioload of 100 gallons .. but, the pump (aquabee - needlewheel) is a little finicky .. It really needs to be cleaned regularly. It might be that because it sits in the sump the needlewheel gets that silt stuck in it ..

Overall, I was very happy with the skimmer - it was an upgrade from the AquaC EV 90 that was in use before it.

I also have one untill I upgrade to a euro-reef. It works flawlessly it was running on my 55 then 120 for 2-3 years. I had the aquabee pump and for the years I ran it I maybe cleaned it 6 times. Good skimmer IMO.
