Bulkheads

Went on Bulk Reef Supply and found the drill bits I need, but problem is, apparently there is 2 sizes for 1" bits and the same for 3/4" bits according to what type of bulkheads head you are using, whether it be ABH or SCH, I don't know plastic piece on the back of tank is not a good answer.

Haha,

The most common bulkheads are the ABS type. They are black and will fit the smaller hole sizes listed.

The Sch80 bulkheads are heavy duty, more beefy, and are a Grey color like Sch80 PVC.

Click on the different bulkhead types here to get the visual. Note that the Sch80 ones are grey and they have ridges around the round flange, while the ABS type are black and the round flange is smooth without ridges.

Thank you John for the clarification, never knew any of this, just assumed the black was it, as I never seen anybody with any other colored bulk head
