DeHumidifier drain into top off supply ?

Has anyone plumbed the output of their Dehumidifier into the top off
bucket for your tank? Can anyone see a problem with water coming
out of the dehumidifier?

I don't think anybody uses dehumidifier water as topoff. That water surely can't be pure.

I image the condenser in a dehumidifier would be made out of copper:eek:.

I don't know about your house but all my water lines in my house are copper. why would that make a difference?

And I'de think that the water from the Dehumdifier wouldn't be clean at all.

I wouldn't do it... Too many uncertainties about whats in the water...

True most house plumbing is made of copper, but thats why we spend so much on RO/DI Filters. They remove any copper from the pipes along with anything else so we can have very clean top off water.

I have heard of people using water from the dehumidifier as a source for the rodi unit but never directly into the tank. I would not do it. Just for fun test the TDS on the water to see what it reads.
