Five years of reef keeping on the cheap

I reached 5 years of reef keeping, on the cheap.

I sent many corals to heaven along with many fishes...

I still have my first piece of live rock bought from an old timer for $8/lb.

I still have my second fish, a yellow tang from Petco. He is the only living thing survive through all my mistakes for 5 years.

My first coral was an aptasia...

I used to have 6 tanks, now down to one, well, technically one.

Four years for me and still learning from other members and hobbyists as well as minor mistakes to stupid mistakes.

I still have all my live rock from when I started, from Stevereno.

I still have my 1st pair of fish, pair of Black Ocellaris Clowns.

I have my 1st coral which was an unknown leather from a LFS saved from a dirty tank, cost $10 the size of my thumbnail. Now a Devils Hand Leather.

I have 2 tanks, ea. 90gal downswing to 1 tank, 120gal.

I guess I'm still in it for now and will be for the next 4 years.

I remember all of his 6 tanks in the family room when I bought frags the day after Thanksgiving a few years ago. I came close to buying his discus, a favorite fish for fresh water. Yes, like Moe said, good to see you're still in the hobby.

I'm 6 years into this hobby. First tank was a disaster! No RC, no BRS, I packed my tank with butterfly and tang in a 29gal.

How's your kid's photography going? Did you find anything for her?

Clams aren't as common in the stores as they were and they're expensive as all heck.
