I have experience in freshwater and have thinking about making the plunge to salt. I (my family) currently have a 75 Gal planted tank, 50 gal angelfish tank, 2 6 gal eclipses w/ bettas and a 6 gal planted Fluval Edge (I LOVE IT).
I have been doing research on this forum and others on a 14 gal bio cube (Oceanic).
I was interesed in maybe seeing the setups of local reefers (I am on parole until September) LOL.
Prior to making the plunge, I was considering using my daughter's 6 gallon Eclipse as a startup. I know that the lighting is inadequate and was not planning on using the Eclipse filter. I was wondering what my lighting options might be and modding a AC70 for a fuge on the back. Would this work with a powerhead, or just a waste of time and money? Should I just jump in with a salt water setup?
I don't want a big tank (YET)
