Ideas for DIY Controller and Lighting Canopy Housing

So I built a new stand and canopy (used a Kempston Reversible 1/4" shank bit from Amazon for the cabinet doors, best I've seen yet for under a hundred bucks in a 1/4" shank, came out beautiful). I'm trying to figure out how to inset my AC3 and Vega controllers into the canopy but can't think of a good design so that they stay put and look good (and are functional). Any ideas for a housing aside from just an inset wooden box? If anybody has any photos, that would be awesome. Older I get, the harder it is to be original it seems.

radio shack has plastic hobby boxes to build things in. Maybe they have one the size you need.

Not sure on what kind of mounting options those have but I mounted a RK head unit in my canopy. Just routed it out and added the same trim around it. The unit had mounting holes that came off the back of it so it was screwed into the canopy from the back.
