I have had a few “reef tanks.” My first was a 55 (I was 17yrs old). At the time, my girl friend’s sister gave me the tank. All I knew was I wanted clown fish and coral. I failed miserably with the 55. Later I had a JBJ 28 with an eBay LED. Failed again with this tank.... So when I bought my first home, I set up a 30 Gallon Rimless tank. I had a sump (I think 20gl L). That I made my self. Just as the tank was maturing I gave up because I was expecting a baby. So I down sized to a 5gl tank. Since then I moved again. I set up a JBJ 45 Rimless. Because of my past “learning experiences” I didn’t want to post my tank until it was established. Last week I lost power for 3 days. I lost all of my fish except one basslet. Most of my coral and inverts survived. I had a pair of clowns that were hosting my two enemones that I lost. (That hurt the most). For all of us that put all of the time, effort, money and care into our tanks, I just want to to say…. BUY A GENERATOR!!!!
