Last week I tried just mixing the old un dissolved kalkwasser in my 7 gallon reservoir the ph was 11 ish after it settled instead of 12.5. the next day the ph cycle in my display dropped by 0.8.
As new water drops in from ~40" mixing anything settled on the bottom, I add new kalk powder by the tablespoon (at the max saturation ratio) then close the container back up
