Jim Tansey Well-Known Member BRS Member Jul 9, 2009 #5 Very good advice don't use them as a external pump, that said I had one on my Ca reactor without a problem other than the noise. jim

emabie Non-member Jul 9, 2009 #7 I have a mag 9, 12 and 24. Very reliable, never had an issue with one but also very noisy and the 24 did leak. The 12 ran my skimmer and the 24 ran my return from the basement. Aside from the heat and noise they are good pumps.
