Never posted my 29g setup!

Hey Everyone!

I never actually showed my completed setup. I’ve posted a few questions here and there, but I’ve read a TON and it’s been so helpful. Thanks to everyone who posts their knowledge so I can absorb it all! :p

About 2 years ago, I made the transition from my lame freshwater setup to a saltwater setup. I tossed everything from my 29 gallon FW setup except for the tank. I built my own stand and canopy. The canopy has two 55W PC lights from AHSupply as well as one blue LED moonlight and some custom computer fans for cooling. I rocked out the marco rocks/sand to start and seeded it with a tiny piece of LR and a cup of sand from Jay’s aquatics.

I knew my lighting wasn’t godly, so I only tried to keep softies as you can see with my various zoos/palys/finger leathers. The anemones are also doing really well. Everything grows rather fast!

Thanks for looking! I’m going to try and get to the meeting next time around so I can meet some of you in person!

-Shawn

Beautiful tank. You're not helping my addiction.
you should be able to find a small heater that fit in your hang back filter to save room in the tank

Thanks! The heater is huge and overkill, but I keep my house cold in the winter because oil costs too much!

WoodRiverTroutBum, that is indeed a yellow watchman! He is one of the cooler fish that I have. Here are a couple old pics of the fish. You can barely see the tiger pistol shrimp hanging out with the goby. The clowns have gotten huge since I bought them as babies. My 4-line has also gotten big too.

That anemone has been crazy for sure. Since getting it, it's split a few times and I ended up with FOUR of them and they were taking over the whole tank...I had to recently sell 2 just so my whole tank wasnt anemone!

Interestly enough, my 4-line has also developed a resistance (perhaps this is normal?) to the anemone sting. He brushes it all the time as he swims around and it doesn't bother him at all.
