New Zoa not opening

Picked up a single polyp of blue hornet, It wasnt open when i purchased it but the seller said it was open the day before.

I brought it home acclimated it for about 30 mins poped it on my sandbed in direct light, bout an hour later the light shut off it was still closed, all day today it was still closed.

If it doesnt open within a couple hours of the light being on tommorrow, should i move it to an area in the tank with less flow/Light or just leave it alone for another day or two

I would leave it alone for a day or so, its still getting over the "shock" of being removed from its tank, shipped, and reacclimated, to your tank. I think it will be fine just be patient.

Yea Im all for leaving things alone and keeping my hands out of the tank, Guess Ill see what tomorrow brings

my 2 polyps was closed for a week before they opened up and they're perfectly healthy now. good luck

I'd also say let it be unless you see something specific that's bothering it like a fish or crab...

Blue Hornets require High Flow/High Light. Move it up in the tank. Just to caution you, there is a high failure rate of these polyps due to what appears to be protozoa. There is a good thread on RC where the supplier chimes in on them. I bought into a 150+ polyp frag where after 6 weeks, only 20 or so remain. But they look promising now.
