Pinstripe Wrasse Extremely confused!!

Did an order from saltwater fish and the fish came in today, a pinstripe wrasse and a mandrin, BUT my new wrasse was swimming around having a good time then i left the house for about 30 min came back and the fish is missing. I have no clue where this thing is i looked all over the floor and i though maybe my dog ate it but she would have vomited from the salt......any ideas? never had a pinstripe this is a first but i do have a sixline and i know his behavior but not sure about the pinstripe.

Hiding in a rock/sand . Perfectly normal in the beginning

thats what i have read but he was out and swimming for a few hours, i figured he would have bolted right to a rock is that not true?

Sometimes they are too busy checking everything out, and forget to hide......and then they remember to be scared. Bam gone! Oftentimes gone for a few days.

did you check insode your overflow? They are jumpers

Mine went inside the overflow and ended up in my sump. I would check there also.

Wrasse are jumpers and hide in sand beds. My coris wrasse and mystery would be MIA for days.
