Purple Lobster

So this guy is by far my favorite (decorator crab close 2nd) and I woke up this morning to see what i thought was a dead purple lobster.. turns out i just have a NAKED purple lobster. It was hard to tell before I pulled the shell out of the tank because it was just SO complete.. little hairs and antennae and all. Maybe i should have left it.. maybe the decorator would have found some new camo. LOL

I sometimes do a double-take when the shrimp molt in the tank. The hollow little body floating around is a bizzare site when it is so intact. At least you know that your lobster is growing nicely.

I have a spiny lobster that I got by mistake, he hitchhiked into my tank with some live rock. He's awesome but I rarely see him. I do the same thing every time he molts. One time the empty shell drifted into my anenome and I thought it was actually eating my lobster.
