I spent the vast majority of the day reading about SPS. While my intentions are to head in that direction I was thinking of what changes I could make to my current tank. I will be ordering 2 maxi-jet 1200 this week to improve flow. Also, sometime in the future I will be doing a skimmer upgrade, but that will come after my tank upgrade. Right now I only have a 46 bow, but I have someone that is willing to give me a 75 in the near future. My current lighting set up is 2 175w MH and 2 55w PC actinics. These lights are in a canopy approximately 10 inches off my water surface. The current bulbs are XM 20k but I was thinking also of making the switch to 10K. Should I lower my lights? Any recommendations on a good pair of 10k's?
