Hey guys, I recently purchased a limited edition snap on flat black Harley Davidson box, looked kinda plain so I noticed my ram 250 is also flat black. So I eliminated the stand and threw the rsm on it and it look gorgeous.... I'm waiting on Snapon's response to make sure box can hold the weight before I fill it up with rock and water. The guys at the shop cant waite to see it fill with water and fish.... Lol... ImageUploadedByTapatalk1340217937.264035.jpg

yea maybe......good thing is that this tank has the sump built in the back of the tank, so thats good news becuase i would have to drill into the tool box and have a sump and most likely rot my tank from the salt........the tank has leds built into them too. so hopefully high temps wont be an issue.....but before anything...i want to make sure box can hold fully stocked tank.

Well I've had red sea max before and it's a very clean setup .... Never seen salt out of the tank.... Box ha a rubber mat on top but I have the stainless steel Snapon top coming next week... So I thing it will look nice.... I'm going to try and keep it as clean as possible....

Going 1 mp40
And a chiller since shop doesn't have air condition out in the floor... But I'm thinking of moving the box into our office since it has AC

Being a design engineer for the best built boxes in the industry... I say drop that piece of junk off a ledge and get a Lista box... If you ever watch the new OCC episodes with Jr shop, I help design his entire workbench that is highlighted in the episodes... Cool stuff

PS
The salt can and will rust if the paint is or gets scratched, chipped or just wasn't covered in all nook and crannies... It happens with boxes near fresh water cleaning stations all the time... If the paint stays intact it protects the CRS that these are made out of. It is usually 18 gauge CRS.

Lista boxes are nice... But it's actually the first time I hear about them.... Snapon is a company I trust in there builds of the box....and give me warranty what so ever.... Matco also builds some tuff boxes... I think Matco is more heavy duty than Snapon but it's more expensive.... Actually what's the price range on lista box?

The reason people aren't familiar with them is because we are so focused on quality and not PR... My manager use to work for snap-on, you can't compare them to our box period. They sell through channels so that box was marked up 3x before you got it. Our boxes are about 30 - 40% less for an equivalent, lifetime warranty. here are some threads...

So u Sell these boxes? Dude pm me if u do.... I have 2 of my co- workers looking for a box

I'd be more concern about the chemical fumes and potential "stuff" that can get into the tank from your shop inadvertently causing mystery deaths and worse wipe out of the tank

Our shop has about 4 exhausts on the roof and a spray booth and a hazmat room where we only keep all flammable chemicals... And shop is huge, we fit about 16 cars and the tank is located no where near the hazmat room it's actually located right next to the men's bathroom.... Lol
