Does it matter or can I just buy any spray can of Black paint to cover the back of my tank?

I've had good results with Krylon Fusion spray paint (for acrylic, glass, etc), it adheres pretty well to glass. Do it in several applications, not spraying too much in each pass, and letting it dry 15 or 20 minutes between each application.

I had an awful time with spraying. The channel between the glass and trim kept sucking up the paint. I had much better luck with a roller. I used a latex paint and it sticks really well, but easy enough to scrape off if you need to.

imo

i just did my tank with blac latex in about 3 hrs it looks awsome i would not use spray piant because of the oversray will get everywhere unless you can do it outside but if it is up and running i would recomend latex and a rollor
