Advanced led lighting with storm mode

Hello..I currently have Chinese led lights that have been great...I love the idea of storm modes in the tank, along with the sunrise and sunset dimming. Is it better to get a light that has that ability in it or a light along with an apex controller....thought? Also what light would you pair with the apex...I am currently in a fish only state and will be doing coral again soon and would like to upgrade more. Thanks for the info
