base rock

what the best way to get base rock ready for my tank? i was just going to put it in a bin with a powerhead and put some biozime in, then test the levels every few days

well, that depends on what you mean by base rock. Is this poor quality live rock, or porouse rock you wish to colonize? If it is just porosue rock like lava rock and you are using as structure, just toss it in the tank. Put the good rock on top of it and in a few weeks it will be colonized by life. If it's poor quality live rock, make sure it's cured and then toss it in. I'm not sure what biozyme is?
Someone please correct me if i'm giving bad info.

Just rinse it out in water for a couple of days then spray it off and toss it in the tank.
