my clowns recently started hosting my toadstool , the female pretty much stays in the toadstool, the male has been swiming around her doing that sideways twitch thing they do, kinda like hes going into convulsions (as if you know what im talking about) anyway does mean they may be mating???
if they do could the eggs die being on the toadstool?????

they will not lay the eggs on the toadstool. it will probably be on the glass or rocks right next to their host. i think they begin doing the twitching thing from a pretty early age to show submission but if you just began seeing it, they probably won't lay eggs for a while. just give it some time, it sounds like it will eventually happen.

they are establishing who is in charge. Once there is a noticeable size difference and they sort that out,
The female will get really plump and they will pick a spot at the base of the leather, the male will clean it furiously, then they might get down to business.

Sounds like they are getting along well so far!
