Coral death bad for tank?

This is prob a newbie question...but Ive never really known.

If corals die off in the tank is it bad? I have a sps thats been dead for awhile and is just a skeleton now. Also a few softies (shrooms, poyps, etc) have spawned and floated to the back of the tank where theres little light and now appear to be dying off.

Will these pollute the tank as they die off?

Mainly just as they are dying. The dead skeletons shouldn't be an issue.

+1 on as they die, I would try to get the mushrooms back into the light.. they will bounce right back.
