Corals close to touching is that alright?

Is it alright if corals are touching? I have 2 that are getting close to one another.

Depending on what types of corals they are some are fine some are not. It appears to be a monti at the top and zoas on the bottom. If you start to see whitening on the monti then they will not get along. I've had it go both ways with montis and zoas being next to each other...
 
As was mentioned above, corals can touch, but the faster growing one will usually slowly kill the other one. Certain corals, Hydrophora comes to mind, will really reach out and dissolve anything they come close too. Kind of cool to watch, but not if the coral being digested is anything you really loved!
