crab ID please

ok before I banish to the fuge anyone know if this guy is truly bad or not?
he lives in one of my table acro about the size of a penny now I rarely see polyps on this acro so that is my concern

Although I cannot ID the crab, I can say without hesitation, that anything with those eyes must be evil.

LOL ya that was my thinking also but I have read/heard that the red eyes are bad and the whites are verdict not in

I have had about 4 of those same kind to deal with in the past for a while I watched them and they seemed harmless until one day I noticed a bleach spot on an acro and relized it was the crab eating the tissue. Needless to say mr. crab met mr. tweezers.

This thread saved a nice acro the other day. I was in a store and saw two of these guys in a nice colony. I remembered those evil white eyes so I watched them for a while. They were happily ripping polyps off of the coral and chomping away. The two of them had cleared a pretty large section at the base of the coral. The store owner promptly removed them to evil crabby heaven.

Looks a lot like a "Gorilla" crab you get on TBS.
