Frag Tank Ideas

I’m contemplating setting up a frag tank this summer and looking for some ideas.

Considerations:
- $2k budget all in
- easy setup and takedown for moving
- manufactured stand, don’t currently have tools to DIY
- open to sump or no sump, ex. HOB skimmer or Tunze 9001 in tank
- function over form, ok with top down view only

Option 1: Hydroponics frag tank 4x2, 3x3, or 4x4 with Fastfit stand.
- These trays used to be quite popular but I hear less about them being used now so not sure if people have been having issues with them?
- 3x3 and 4x4 would provide more surface area but may be a pain to consistently light without needing multiple fixtures. Probably looking at reefbreeders and softies though 3-4’ wide is probably a bit much for 1 fixture even if mounting high?

Option 2: 30/40B with stand. Hopefully find a stand to hold both tank and sump.

Option 3: Lowboy with stand?

Thoughts and suggestions?

Will this be stand alone or plumbing it into an existing system?

Stand alone, maybe tie in eventually. Thinking of using Maxspect Nanospheres or similar for bio media, LR in sump etc.

Will probably target zoas and shrooms, maybe limited LPS so don’t plan on dosing much if anything.

I grabbed a 60B at petco now that they go on sale. Haven't done anything with it yet, but it just cries out to be a frag tank. Pretty decent value if you order online and pick up, $90.30 out the door....
