There's no need to solder if you use a crimp on butt connector. I'm not sure what epoxy and nut you're talking about SHO? A crimped butt connector is just a plastic/metal tube. slide the shrink wrap over one wire. slide that wire into the crimp connector. crimp. slide other wire into the other end of the same crimp connector. crimp. slide wire shrink wrap over the connector. heat. done. No muss, no fuss, no soldering, no nuts, no epoxy.
