Is my Monti Cap Dying???

I just got a frag of Orange Cap the other day, approx. 2" x 2". I wedged it in my rockwork. Today I noticed that where it meets the rockwork and along the bottom of the frag, its TURNING WHITE . Is this bad? Or is this just due to it being wedged in the rock? Should I pull it out and lay it more open to the light? Will the color return? The top part which gets light looks fine? What do I do?

the part you have wedge will die and bleach out due to no light, but as long as the rest of the cap looks good and polyps out I wouldnt worry about it
