This is from the cold water thread.
"The 1" thick acrylic, coupled with minimal heat imputs, has the chiller run, on average, about 20 minutes "ON".....and about 60 -90 minutes "OFF"."

The insulation properties of acrylic are key to a coldwater tank. The coldwater
tanks tanks I have seen working also minimize the heat input with lights well above the tank and no internal pumps.
