Marble Frag Plugs from Lowes???

Went into the reefing supply supercenter Lowe's and got some tumbled marble squares. They are great they look like they really belong in a reef. One question should I be concerned about the glue on the bottom of them?, it was used to hold them together on the mesh square.

I washed, boiled, then scrubbed them to make sure, but I'm kind of worried some glue might have stuck in the holes of the rock.

They were $10 for 30 of them, I plan on mounting zoas on them if its safe.

Probably okay. I too would be a bit worried about glue, but if there's only a little bit you are probably okay? In the FWIW category, I've also used white ceramic tiles. You can break them up into whatever size you like after you score them with a sharp knife. I use the whole tiles for clownfish eggs.

Marble can hold iron as well as other metals in it. I would be more inclined to use a claybased tile.

Thanks, I just used two of the tiles and I think I might just go for ceramic as you guys mentioned. Should I take the tiles out of the tank because of the iron and other metals?
