May God have mercy on

Fingolfin

Humble Christian
my chaetodon Daedelma.

A 4+ years 6" resident who appeared happy and healthy until last night. All of the sudden it showed a sign of rapid breathing. A few hours after the light went off, it bid us farewell.

Can we call it fluke?

My 3 years old daughter has a hard time to accept it. She kept asking me why it died, and telling me that she missed it. Then I told her that it has finished its vacation with us so it went back home to be with God.

So sad. That was an exquisite fish.

Is there anything you can think of that might have caused it? Injured jumping? New additions that might have brought an illness in?

Not I can think of. The tank has been what it is since the butterfly was introduced in '00. Even as recent as Wednesday night during feeding time it was still eating like a pig.

I've never seen anything like this. So fast, so sudden. It's like flipping a switch.
