There are only three fish in my 30 gallon and I was looking around for my blue damsel when I saw his little tail sticking out of my bubble coral. the rest of him was inside it.
Is it possible the damsel was sick or injured prior to landing in the bubble coral? A bit hard to imagine a perfectly healthy fish being stung enough by this to warrant his demise? Sorry about the loss
I'd be a little concerned about water parameters or parasites if I were you.
Blue damsels can live in pretty terrible conditions. One of the reasons some folks used to use them to cycle with.
Was this the only fish in the tank?
Did you notice any strange behaviour before you found it in the bubble coral?
Are you absolutely sure the tank doesn't have any ammonia?
