Murphy's Law
So I am in the process of retrofitting a housing i purchased here. I here the battle over vho versus actinic. I have a mixed tank but my softies are limited to mostly polyps and rics a plate and a flowerpot. I have more acros, millies, stylos, and such than anything else.

Hello lights has a couple setups but pics would sway me one way or the other.

This is what i planned for VHO.

I was going to mount this up in the shroud i have in between the vho's

Or i can go this route which a little more energy efficient.

Unfortunately the housing is 36" exact so i would have to use 24" vhos as they claim fully installed is 36 1/2"

Anyway Pics would be nice as i would like to see a comparison for myself of VHO versus t-5.

Nobody has pics of there tank with vho's or t-5's for actinic supplement?
I find that hard to believe.

T5 is much easier to fit in with MH. My MH and T5 are all retro kits. My MH are lined down the middle of the canopy and the T5 are mounted to the front and back of the canopy. I don't have a picture that really shows it though, so hopefully you understand what I mean. I have tried out PC, VHO, and T5 for actinic supplementation, and IMO T5 is the best out there.

T5 hands down. There isnt even a comparison really. My camera takes horrible actinic pix but the vho super actinic looks weak compared to the T5 ATI Blue plus bulbs. The T5 actinic makes the corals glow.

I guess i'll go with t-5's. From what i personally researched for LPS actinic is killer but so so for LPS. Considering I am doing more sps than lps I think i'll use t-5 thx.
