Been having fun playing around with my new high power microscope looking at bacteria, algae and learning how to identify types of dyno’s, diatoms and cyano. I even had someone bring me some corals This week with some pest in them, threw away the corals but kept the pest to study lol.

I bought a less expensive one first and wasn’t happy with the quality so ended up getting a Swift SW380B and I am much happier with the quality of it.

What book or web site are you using for identifying diatoms/dinos, etc.? I've been meaning to do this myself and bought a cheap microscope.

You can find a lot of useful sites and images just by googling dinoflagellate identification and I actually found a pretty interesting site on Facebook dinoflagellates support group reef lol some very knowledgeable people on there.
