I bought this 28 gallon Oceanic BioCube to house a couple fish I needed to remove from my display that were in my sump. Unfortunately the fish did not do well in the sump while I was getting this setup and no longer need this
Details: Ocenainc Biocube 28 gallon all in one with Stand, return pump, LED lights.
The Good. Stand and tank are in great shape, acrylic is very clear and looks to be scratch free, doors open and close on the stand nicely as well. I filled it with water and let it sit for two days with no issue. the tanks has the Rapid LED kit installed in the hood.
The Bad: The LED's work, I have validated both LED drivers and all LED's light up but there is no controller only the drivers. Would take a 0-10v wall wart or a 10 v wall wart and a potentiometer to complete the LED and have it dimmable, I ran the dimmer circuit on a 9V battery which would be 90% for validation but as soon as you pull the voltage the lights go back to 0. I verified the return pump works when it was full of water but there is no plumbing. Pretty simple fix but it is what it is. I do not have a transformer for the fans in the hood, another simple fix. All told for a DIYer probably $40-$60 to make this tank complete.
